Sung beautifully
There was a melodious song
That moms sang to kids
Day was bright
For boys and girls at Moore
To go to school
It was a big day
Kids played well at recess
Enjoyed life
When they heard
It was a great twister
They got together
Stayed together
Sung together in chorus
They sang for life
Their voices sweet
Reached the heavens
Until some echoed
They sang so well
In time of calamity
Dark spell was upon
Winds blew terribly
Swiped off homes and schools
Dark clouds swirled
Streets and shops
Miles to come disappeared
Alas! Not all were saved
Taking their strength
With their heavenly voices
Some reached heavens
Strength of the city
Brought the people back
Despite lives erased
With a great courage
They came out of the rubble
Rescuing people
Some with fractures
Made it alive, losing some
Near and dear
Families shattered
Moms lost their loved ones
City distorted
Souls of spirit
Come sing their song of valor
See them recite
Salute your courage
We bow to your candor
Lives lost forever
Wake up dear love
Love you, so wake up! Wake up.
Their song resounds
Peace be always
With you and you and you all,
May God Bless. Amen.
